For more than 30 years, Michelle A. Lewis, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, patient-centered healthcare. Her nursing journey began as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and has grown through roles as an acute care staff nurse, critical care nursing supervisor, and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family Medicine, Acute Care, and Psychiatric Mental Health.
Her diverse clinical experience includes family medicine, diabetic education, psychiatry, hospice, and palliative care, allowing her to provide comprehensive care that addresses both physical and emotional well-being.
Education & Advanced Training
Michelle is committed to lifelong learning and clinical excellence. She earned her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Central Florida in 2005 before completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Capella University in 2021.
To further expand her expertise, she completed the Post-Master's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program at Florida State University in 2022.
Today, Michelle is proudly Board Certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the State of Florida.
Passion for Patients & Community
Michelle believes healthcare is about more than treating illness—it's about empowering individuals to live healthier, fuller lives.
She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals and has served as a preceptor for numerous nurse practitioner students who have gone on to successful careers.
Her dedication to clinical excellence earned her the SAGES Clinical Excellence Award in 2017 and a nomination for the Super Hero Award in 2018.
Outside of her practice, Michelle actively supports her community by participating in annual fundraising walks for Breast Cancer and Alzheimer's Disease research and educating the public about Advance Directives through local health fairs.
